Alex Beard, the founder of Beard Collaborative, is a graduate of Virginia Tech, where he studied Theatre Arts and Leadership and Social Change. Specializing in public dialogue, design thinking methodologies, applied improvisation, and utilizing the arts as tools for social change, he has built over 15 years of professional experience as an actor, director, teaching artist, and facilitator.
His craft has been refined at prestigious institutions, including the Kennedy Center, Second City, iO, UCB, WIT, and ArscomicA. Alex has propelled creativity and innovation to the forefront of the way we work and problem-solving, leaving an indelible mark on numerous organizations around the country.
He has collaborated and worked with top businesses and institutions such as the Federal Reserve, the Walt Disney Company, USO, Ronald McDonald House Charities, universities, medical systems, K-12 school districts, municipal governments, and many more nationwide.
